Have you heard of jamberry nails?

I went to a neighbors home last week and learned about these nails.  The "polish" is vinal with super strong adhesive.  They are to last 2 weeks.
I am trying one right now.  It feels like it will last.  I will let you know!

More jewelry from CTMH

Check this out.  Just buy from CTMH and for less than $20 you can make this necklace!

Isn't the necklace holder cute?  Great for gift packaging.  I made it with one of the cricut cartridges from CTMH.
Leave a message and I will assist you in making all these!

Birchbox review

Have you heard of Birchbox?  You may $10/month and receive sample size items according to the profile you put in about yourself.  My husband signed me up for my birthday and it makes going to the mailbox every month fun!
They put a card in the bix explaining each item and how much a full size will cost you.
Here's what I received this month.
The little tub with the monarch on it is some lovely smelling cream.
I also received some primer, which I have been wanting.  It does a great job but it's $60 retail so I will never see that again!
The "supergoop" is a sunscreen and a primer.  I haven't tried that yet.
The "How about them apples?" is a lip color and rouge.  I like it because it's kind of a stain.  Here's another picture of it.  (I love the shirtless cowboy!)
This color is called "pie".  They have other colors like "cider", "cobbler", etc.

The Jergens is a BB  cream for your body.  It promises to do 6 thing to your skin including firm up.  I like the scent and it is slightly tinted.  It was in my birchbox but it didn't count towards it since it was a "mass media" sample.
Thanks for looking!  Happy St. Patricks day!

The necklace I made from "Close to my heart"

I made this last fall.  I re-fashioned it today and I am finally going to wear it. (One of the flowers I used was too big so I changed it today)
I wasn't sure it was my style but I think I'll step out of my comfort zone today. :)

What do you think?  It was fun to make (it only cost about $18 to make and you have leftovers so you could make more!)

3/5/14 Another "she art" girl

I'm not super thrilled with how she turned out.  The background is a little dark and her "side braid" was hard to get right.
I do love the sheet music background and her "sentiment".  Any ideas how to make her cuter?  Remove the bird from her shoulder?  Lighten up the background?  Re-do her hair?  Please respond!  Thanks!

3/5/14 New "SHE ART" gir.l I need your input!

I love how she turned out but I am at a loss for her "phrase".  Can you help me?  I thought of "She knew she could do it so she did"....but it doesn't seem to fit her.
Please give me some ideas!

3/3/14 New art

This is the house I made today.  Like it?  I'm going to put it on etsy!

This cake will "make you wanna smack your mama!! " (In a good way)

I got this recipe from my friend at work, Jessica.  I made it this weekend and it is ridiculous!!!!

Better than sex cake

1 box red velvet cake mix
1 14.5 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1 c cinnamon creamer (divided)
1 tub vanilla cool whip frosting  (did you know they made this?)
1 tub cool whip
chocolate shavings

Bake cakes as per box instructions
Poke holes evenly over cake
Whisk together the condensed milk and 1/2 c creamer, pour over the cake, filling the holes
After the cake has cooled, Whisk together the cool whip frosting, cool whip and 1/2 c creamer.  Spread on the cake.  Top with chocolate shavings.

Verdict:  Best thing ever!!!  Take it to your next party and you will be the star!

Hints: Someone taught me to shave a chocolate bar with a vegetable peeler!  It worked great!
This makes a ton of icing....you can use the extra as a great fruit dip or spread it between graham crackers (I used chocolate grahams :)

ENJOY!

What's for dinner? Easy Broccoli Cheese soup!

I have been making this soup for over 10 years.  I got this recipe from an old friend, Diane.
Enjoy!

2 stalks celery-chopped
4 T butter
4 T flour
2 bunches broccoli-cut up and steamed
1/2 t pepper
1/2 t dry mustard
2 c milk
2 c chicken broth
2 c velveeta shreds

Cook broccoli until tender
Melt butter in soup pot and add celery and onion.  Cook til tender.
Stir in flour, pepper and dry mustard.
Add milk and broth.  Heat to boiling.  Stir so it doesn't stick.
Add velveeta.  Stir constantly til melted and creamy.
